Sub-branding initiatives for SDC, the family-owned manufacturer of electronic hardware and software controls used in security doors. SDC is recognized for developing the first electrified lockets approved for stairwell door applications. SDC HiTower®, Selectric® and Electra® electrified mortise and cylindrical locks are used globally. Its suite of 35,000 turnkey products is manufactured in the U.S.
The SDC Corporate Badge used as a sub-branding variation for various display and signage applications.
SDC utilizes this sub-branding application through the projection of the product line with the “Clean Theme” approach. The style of the SDC product representation is showcased with the use of “Wireframe Blends” depicting the photo representation blending in combination with vector based wireframes. The communication strategy of transparent and open design and engineering that manifests into the solid realization of value is paramount. These appear in all media and overlap other wireframe treatments that depict the showcased application examples.

Both the “50 Years” and the “Since 1972” badge graphics were developed to commemorate the anniversary of the company’s half-century founding used in various forms across the spectrum of initiatives that have been featured in the 2022 calendar year and for use beyond that date.
